Software publishers policy
This is ReadyBuyDeals’ operating standard for any downloadable software, browser plugin, or extension used with CJ Affiliate. It is written for Network Quality review, advertisers, and shoppers.
Last reviewed 7 September 2026. Controlling CJ document: CJ Affiliate Software Publishers Policy, published by Commission Junction LLC (26 August 2022). If CJ updates that policy, we follow the current version in the publisher account.
Software name: ReadyBuyDeals Assistant. Status: Awaiting CJ Affiliate Network Quality testing and approval. We do not distribute software for CJ advertisers until that exact version has been tested and approved by CJ.
Spirit of the policy
Shoppers should understand what is installed and why. Advertisers should know function and intent before any software traffic is sent. Other publishers should keep attribution they already earned. We earn commission only inside advertised program terms and reasonable consumer expectations.
Website description of the software
ReadyBuyDeals Assistant is a shopping assistant. On the website, deals are listed on crawlable pages and a shopper clicks Buy this deal. A future browser extension, if approved, would show the same deals and would place an affiliate cookie only after that same kind of explicit click inside the extension UI.
- Distribution: official browser stores only, never bundled.
- Cookie trigger: the shopper clicks a labeled deal or Buy control we own.
- No automatic redirect through a CJ tracking link.
- Before any CJ hop, we check for Prior CJ Interactions and stand down when another publisher referred the visit.
Rule 1 — CJ tests every version first
We will not distribute ReadyBuyDeals Assistant, or any revision of it, to send CJ traffic until CJ has tested and approved that version. Feature and usability changes go back to Network Quality. This website description is updated when behavior changes.
Rule 2 — Transparency, no bundling
Function and distribution are described on this site, in the EULA, and in the privacy policy. We do not bundle the extension with other downloads.
Rule 3 — Click only, never auto-redirect
A consumer is sent through a CJ link only after they click our downloadable software, plugin, or extension control. Automatic redirect is prohibited in our product and in our engineering backlog.
Rule 4 — Opt-in EULA and privacy before install
Before install from any download location, the shopper must accept the EULA and privacy policy. Those documents describe software conduct and state, in plain language, which actions place affiliate cookies. See cookie and tracking notice.
Rule 5 — Uninstall is complete
Uninstall remains available from the browser or operating system and removes the software. Instructions: uninstall.
Rule 6 — Respect other publishers
Immediately before interacting with a shopper, we (a) recognize publisher-driven traffic and (b) look for Prior CJ Interactions. If those are present and we do not own the referring domain, the software must not operate in that browser window or redirect the shopper to the advertiser with a CJ link that contains the ReadyBuyDeals PID.
Prior CJ Interactions include: a redirect through a CJ domain; afsrc=1 on publisher links; and/or a cjevent parameter on the advertiser landing URL. The extension may still run if the shopper proactively engages our UI while already on the advertiser site.
Enforcement
Unapproved software activity can mean account termination, suspension, and commission reversal under the CJ Publisher Service Agreement. We treat that as binding.
